Here we go
again
I have wanted to build a
model of Don Gentiles P-51B for a long time. Probably as
long as it has been since I had the Revell kit of the same
subject. Well, the Trumpeter kit is a lot nicer and I am a
bit better modeler now so maybe it is time to do it. The
new Tamiya Mustang is all the rage right now in modeling circles
and it is a fantastic kit - but it is a P-51D. I don't
doubt that they will release a 51B soon but why wait.
Besides, that one is $130 and I got the Trumpeter one for $50.
My intention is to try and match the scene pictured above so I
won't have to have any engine, landing gear or other interior
details. It should actually make for a quick build -
especially compared to the F-15I. I also want to motorize
the propeller. I think it will be a nice touch.
